BIRTH
In 1954 Antonio Tellatin and several partners founded Ghiaia Brenta, a company involved in quarrying and processing gravel. We are locatedin the Veneto region of northern Italy, in Pozzoleone (Vicenza).

MAKING TRACKS
1968 saw the incorporation of Adige Bitumi for the production of asphalt concretes; the company specialises in road paving, construction of infrastructure and hydraulic works.

The headquarters are based in Trentino at Mezzocorona (Trento). A second facility was subsequently opened at Sarcedo (Vicenza).

GROWING
In 1978 the company took over Bitumi Veronesi, a producer of asphalt concrete.

The headquarters are in the municipality of Verona at Villafranca.

EXTENDING OUR REACH
In 1985 the Tellatin family, with its tradition of work in the quarrying of gravels and derivatives, constructing infrastructure and roads, moved into the sector of civil and industrial building construction by taking over Costruzioni Mocellin.

DEVELOPING A STRUCTURE
In 2001 Gruppo Adige Bitumi s.p.a. was formed to coordinate the activities of subsidiaries Ghiaia Brenta, Adige Bitumi, and Bitumi Veronesi.

The group is engaged in the production and processing of gravels, aggregates and asphalt concrete and the supply of road surfaces in sound absorbing and antiskid free-draining asphalt.

The group has five production plants between Veneto and Trentino.

INTERNATIONALISATION
Gruppo Adige Bitumi was the first foreign company to secure a contract under the Serbian privatisation regime following the Milosevic era.

In 2002 the group acquired EMS "KIJEVO" AD, which became a subsidiary, with a production plant in Belgrade.

BUILDING
In 2002 Adige Bitumi took over Costruzioni Mocellin by merger and changed its name to Adige Bitumi Impresa, extending its range of operations with building construction in addition to road surfacing.

EXPANSION
In 2004 the company acquired the Edilbaldo s.p.a. group, involved in quarrying, processing of aggregate, production of asphalt concretes, and road construction.

Edilbaldo's production plant is located at Nago-Torbole (Trento).

CENTRALIZATION
In 2010 Gruppo Adige Bitumi s.p.a. merged with Adige Bitumi Impresa s.p.a.

The Group was transformed into a single reference brand with 4 divisions: Quarries and asphalts, Paving, Infrastructure, Building construction.

The company works in Italy and internationally.
